This week we step out of 2023 into 2024, but what will the New Year hold for us?
What are we hoping for in this New Year?
Will it bring us into a better financial position, better health, a more stable relationship with a partner or a more satisfying life all round?
As we look back over the past year, I am sure that each of us can bring to mind those good times as well as the not so good that have been on our pathway these last twelve months.
The state that our world is in seems to get no better, with problems and difficulties everywhere.
Jesus Christ was born into a similar world with all its uncertainties and grief on every hand.
He came to show the peace and love of a wonderful God to a people in great need in a world without hope when war and violence was all around.
Whilst we cannot see Him in the same way that the crowds did all those years ago, He is with us by the power of the Holy Spirit and He wants to be part of our lives today.
May 2024 be a year of great blessing for each one of us.
