SUDDENLY it seems like winter and we are asking, “Where did the summer go, let alone the autumn?”
It is so amazing that we can just about experience every type of weather in one week in our Nation.
It is no wonder that we can visit, work or live in almost any country in the world and still be at ease there whatever the seasons ‘throw at us’.
Talking and complaining about our weather is a favourite pastime in our nation and can get us chatting with complete strangers, sometimes leading to a long friendship.
When here on earth, Jesus Christ often opened up conversations by talking about the weather to those He came into contact with, which led to many meaningful dialogues with regard to their particular needs.
Of course, He knew everything about each individual before their conversations began and He always directed the encounter to focus on their personal situations.
Although, today, we cannot literally see Him as those people did, we can come to Him in prayer and find that same caring, helpful and loving Saviour.
I am so thankful that I can start and finish each day in prayer and thanksgiving which gives me that strength and resilience to face the needs of the day.
