THE OTHER day I noticed a tradesman’s van parked approximately 100 yards along the road on which I was walking.
The driver was standing on the pavement with what appeared to be two people in the passenger seats.
As I got nearer, I realised that whilst the driver was real the two passengers were just simply life size face photographs of two of the famous Beatles pop music group.
From the distance they certainly looked real life and possibly were used to detract ‘would be burglars’ from robbing tools from the van. It was a great ‘Optical Illusion’.
We live in a world where there can be so many situations which are not really true to life and are so confusing.
When Jesus Christ was here on earth with His Disciples, we read of many occasions when things did not really seem to be true to life and were confusing to those men just as much as they were to the crowds who followed Jesus.
In our present-day world, it can often be hard to see Jesus, but He is here by the power of the Holy Spirit and He wants to bring calm out of the confusion which surrounds us, just as He did when He walked upon the earth.
He invites us to bring all our cares to Him in prayer.
