OVER the past week the political pundits have been sharing their views with regard to the many challenges they believe are now facing the country after the General Election.
Whatever our viewpoint we have to realise that life is full of challenges that we have to face every day of our lives.
The headline, “What a whopper! Britain’s biggest plate of fish and chips”, caught my eye in the national press this week.
The article told of the West Yorkshire Fish and Chip shop owner who for the last two years has challenged people to eat a 32oz haddock, 15oz of chips, a roll and four side dishes.
So far seven people have completed the challenge with some even coming over from America to try.
He has a 72oz haddock for anyone who wants to take a bigger challenge.
There are so many challenges in our lives that even the greatest brains cannot solve to bring us peace and comfort and so life goes on in confusion.
Whatever our situation there is one who can help us if we will let him.
Jesus Christ came to earth to show us God’s love, and how that as we trust in him we can know a peace and joy in our lives even in the midst of all the challenges that we face every day.
Lift up a prayer and ask him to help you in your life today.
