RECENTLY a new advertisement for a particular make of car has appeared on our television screens, one which completely baffled me.
The advert contains a fast-moving numerical sequence which at first made me wonder and then it became clear that it was representing the mileometer of a car covering a vast number of miles over a short period of time.
I must admit there are numerous TV adverts which to me take some working out, so I prefer to record programmes and then fast forward the adverts.
With all that is happening in our world, life can become very baffling indeed.
When Jesus Christ came to live in our world, He came to a country that was governed by a foreign power and by religious leaders who created so many laws and rules well beyond the Ten Commandments which God had given to the Jewish Nation generations before, all very baffling to the people.
Jesus came to show the Love of His Father, God, to all people, so that they could understand the simplicity of knowing and experiencing that Love in their daily lives.
Although the Lord is not with us in a physical form, we can come to Him in prayer and experience that same compassion and care which the people of the day when He physically walked among them, enjoyed.
