Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 11th Jun, 2023   0

NOT too many years ago I preferred driving at night-time rather than in the day light.

But now I am finding that so many of the headlights of the oncoming vehicles are far too bright, which causes much discomfort and in conversations I find that this is the same with younger people as well.

Recently I read an article in a daily newspaper which stated that so many people are changing the headlamp bulbs for illegal ones which are far brighter.

If this is so, it means that so many of these lights are not found until the MOT when the vehicle is three years old and they then have to be changed.

The world is full of artificial light which causes distress to much of the wildlife in our countryside but human beings cannot live without light and neither can the crops on which we depend for our daily living and sustenance.

In the Bible we read that Jesus Christ came to be “The Light of the World”, into a world which was full of darkness and needed the brightness of His salvation.

Just as Jesus brought ‘light’ into the lives of the people who He encountered during His earthly travels, so we today need that same ‘light’ to illuminate our own lives as we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

The ‘light’ which He brings causes life to grow within each one of us.
