WATCHING scenes of people driving vehicles in some of the recent TV dramas, I have been amazed that they have not crashed.
Invariably the drivers have been looking at their passengers for a long time and not watching the road ahead.
Of course, they are not really driving but the scenery in the background is actually a film on the backdrop, which is a good thing.
It is easy for the modern film makers to create things and scenes which are not really true but just make believe and not reality.
Over the past nine years for our charity Santa Specials on the garden railway, the grown-up actors have been reduced, by the film makers, to be the same size as the three-inch-high model people on the railway, which is quite a novelty to see yourself that small.
Sadly, in our lives we can consider ourselves to be ‘small’ compared to those around us, but with many of the ‘big’ people it is only make-believe and not reality.
When Jesus Christ was here on earth, we read that He met many people who considered themselves ‘small’ and unworthy but when He came into their lives, He made a tremendous difference and they became different people with a larger outlook on life.
The message which Jesus Christ brings is that we need to be genuine and be the ‘size’ which he wants us to be and not an imitation, and by accepting Him into our lives we can fulfil all that He wants for us to be.
