LAST TUESDAY was Valentines Day. A time when millions of pounds and other currencies, worldwide, is spent on flowers, cards and other gifts.
How much of this merchandise is kept or treasured and how much is just thrown away?
As we approach our 58th wedding anniversary, my wife and I had decided a long time ago that each day of our lives together would be a ‘Valentine’s Day’ for us and we have kept to that vow ever since.
In these days, we see in sport, in business and in politics that making a bond or promise and keeping it, is so difficult and I am so glad that I have long retired and out of the ‘rat race’.
When the Lord Jesus Christ went to the cross and gave His life for each of us, He made a vow which He and God the Father have kept ever since.
When we make that decision to accept His great Salvation, He will never go back on that promise of the ability to enjoy eternal life with Him.
Whatever situation we are facing in our lives today, we can call to Him in prayer and we will always find an answer even if it is not always what we expect or want.
