We are living in a world where ‘scammers’ are attempting to ‘rule the roost’ with their telephone calls and emails.
The telephone will ring twice and then stop and so I dial 1471 to ascertain who has rung me and invariably it is a London number, no doubt with someone who had been out to ‘con’ me.
It would appear that the caller will ring a batch of various numbers hoping that someone from that batch will answer and become their next ‘victim’.
Unfortunately, millions, worldwide, are falling for these ‘scams’ and are losing thousands from their bank accounts.
We all need to be on our guard to make sure that we are not a victim of these cruel gangsters.
Even in the days in which Jesus Christ walked upon the earth there were people who were out to ‘con’ others of their worldly goods and possessions and He always had very strong words of warning to them.
But He came not only to give words of admonishment and rebuke but to also bring the words of love and repentance so that they would turn to Him and know Him as Lord and Saviour in their lives.
We may not be like these cruel people but Jesus still wants to become part of our lives and help us to live in unity and harmony with all those around us.
