Opening the Evesham Observer last Friday and turning to Page 2, I said to my wife, “I think we know that couple in the photograph”.
We were featured; me as the Station Master and my wife as Maggie Marbles MBE.
Since 2011 we have opened up our back garden with our model railway with Santa Specials and there has been a comedy film created with my wife and I as the main actors.
Local charities have benefitted because we opened up the garden for people to come in and see the railway with a model Santa riding round; watch the film and enjoy refreshments and give monetary donations to these local charities. Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds for them.
This year we have decided it will be the last because of our age and therefore the film was called ‘The Last Train’.
People are disappointed but we have made the decision that this is the last Special.
When Jesus Christ explained to His Disciples his decision that he must go back to God and leave them, they were disappointed and upset but afterwards they understood the decision.
By going back to His Father in Heaven, it meant that by the power of the Holy Spirit, He could be all over the world and not just in one place.
This means that wherever we are in the world we can pray to Him with the assurance that He will hear us.
