ON BONFIRE Night a man was walking his dog when it ran off because it was frightened by the fireworks which were exploding all around them.
The owner searched diligently but the dog was nowhere to be found.
It transpired that the dog had wandered around the streets of Loughborough in distress finally passing the Police Station. The automatic door opened and the dog went in and lay down and was filmed on the security camera. This enabled the Police Officer to
reunite the lost dog with its owners who was full of joy and thankfulness.
When I was about four years old, I have a vivid memory of being in a large store in Llandudno and walking out holding a hand. But it wasn’t my dad who soon came to rescue me and how happy I was, because I was safe again.
There must be many times in our lives when we feel lost and alone, which can bring us to times of despair and fear.
During His earthly ministry Jesus Christ met many people and spoke about others who were feeling lost and alone.
He came into their situations and brought a calmness and tranquillity that the people and the world around them could not bring.
When those dark periods come into our lives, we can come to God in prayer through His Son Jesus Christ and experience the calmness and peace that He brings into our lives.
