Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 6th Nov, 2022   0

I AM an only child and my mother always said that they broke the mould after I was born.

Of course, that meant that having no siblings there was no one to blame when I did something wrong or got into trouble.

Over the years it has been interesting with two children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren to hear the excuses why one of them has been accused of doing something or other when more than likely it wasn’t their fault anyway.

Today, read any newspaper or turn on any TV or radio news channel and we will always find somebody blaming another person or group for

one thing or another.

Who can we trust and who is telling us the truth?

Throughout the pages in the Bible, we read so often of one person or group accusing another of a problem

Even Jesus’ disciples did not believe Him when he told them that He was going to be killed on the cross.

They argued with Him that this would not be so and that they would make sure that it would never happen, but it did.

Because Jesus did go to the cross, it means that we can experience the Love, Peace and Joy of God the Father, which comes to us through this sacrifice.
