LAST week, I was asked the same question by many different people.
“Were you woken up by the sound of thunder and the flashing of lightening last night”?
To their astonishment, no was my answer.
In fact, it takes quite a lot to wake me up once I have fallen asleep.
Of course, storms can be very scary and dangerous, especially if we are alone and outside at night.
There are so many occasions in life which can cause us to be fearful and worried, sometimes unduly.
When Jesus Christ was here on earth, He met many people, of all ages and positions who were extremely fearful and worried about their future and that of their families.
Very often He would tell a parable or story to give them assurance and help in their particular circumstance which was prevailing at the time.
Whichever way He chose to speak to them, there was always a calmness and authority in His answer which brought about an assurance into their lives.
As we go through the very scary ‘storms of life’, let us realise that God is just a prayer away in the Name of His Son Jesus, to bring us salvation and healing from Him.
