IT WAS just like a scene from a Gangster Movie.
Whenever my wife and I are in London, we enjoy using our bus passes and travelling around on London Transport.
Not too long ago we were able to ride on an old Route Master Double Decker that was on a service run.
Apart from a man further along on the top deck we were the only ones on board.
He was on his mobile phone and the conversation was quite interesting.
“You owe me that money and you will not get away with not paying. Remember I know where you live.”
There was a dreadful threat in his remarks to the other person on the other end of the telephone line.
He then got off the bus.
It made me think of someone else who knows where we live but He will not visit us menacingly but will visit to bring good news into our lives.
In the gospels we read of the occasion when Jesus Christ visited the home of Zacchaeus, the rogue tax collector, and because of that visit the man was totally changed and his whole life took on a new meaning and perspective.
Zacchaeus was actually trying to hide up a tree, but Jesus knew where he was and called him down and their encounter certainly changed the tax collector’s life.
Remember that Jesus wants to meet each of us so that He can bring His Salvation and love into our lives.
