Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 25th Apr, 2022   0

WHAT a very sunny Bank Holiday weekend we have just enjoyed, which makes for a pleasant change.

When I was preparing to write this column, the sky was black with rain clouds, which pleased my wife as she had spent this morning planting out a number of cuttings in the flower bed.

Now the possibility of rain has gone because the sun has started to shine again and it will mean the job of watering later this evening.

Of course it is the month of April which means that there will be the chance of sun and showers.

Life can often be like that as we face the different situations that occur to each one of us.

In the Gospels we read that the Disciples of Jesus Christ went through many dark patches over the period of His crucifixion and death but there would be the absolute joy when He joined them back again in Galilee.

During that period before His Ascension back to Heaven, He was able to explain why things had had to happen as they did with His death and resurrection.

He told them that all the things had happened for their good and for the people of the world right down to our generation so that we could all experience the wonderful salvation which God, the Father, has provided for each one of us in Christ.
