TRAVELLING home from Hampshire the other evening, as we came off the M4 motorway at Swindon to join the A419 Road for Cirencester we went through an horrendous storm.
My wife commented that it must be ‘Acid rain’ as it became extremely difficult to see through the smeared windscreen. In fact I seriously considered pulling into a lay-by until the storm had passed as it was quite scary, but I carried on and eventually the rain stopped and the windscreen cleared.
Our journey through life is not always easy and so often we can find that there are those times of the ‘Acid rain’ experiences which will cause us some pain and discomfort.
In the Gospels we read of many occasions where people were experiencing these dark times, but we find that the Lord Jesus Christ came alongside them and helped them to come into the ‘Sunshine’ experiences instead.
During the past two years each one of us will have experienced and maybe are still experiencing those times of ‘Acid rain’, we can be assured that as we approach God through prayer, He will answer us and give us those times of sunshine, with the Joy, Love and Peace that only God the Father can give.
