LAST Friday I was watching the Test match between England and India on the television when the camera focused on a man and his son. The boy was holding a handwritten note which said, “Mum….. Dad hasn’t taken me to school”.
If it was true, then one can quite imagine the reception that Dad would have got on his return home that evening, although it may have been a special surprise for the son.
Sometimes it can be very difficult to keep a secret from a loved one, especially if it is for a special occasion.
Sadly, we live in a world where so many people keep secrets, often with tragic results.
The Bible tells us of many times that people kept a secret and it did not always turn out for the best for them or those associated with them.
There were times in the Gospels that we read that Jesus Christ healed people and he told them not to tell anyone but with human nature being what it is the stories spread very quickly.
During this recent pandemic, I have read and heard of numerous occasions where people, in varying circumstance and situations, have found faith in Jesus.
Many have found a peace with God because others have shared the Gospel of Love ands Joy, which comes to each of us through the life and death of His Son, Jesus Christ.
