LAST Tuesday one of our grandsons took his driving test for the first time and passed, much to the relief of our daughter.
Now she will not have to drive him to all venues as he is an under 21 England Rugby player.
It reminded me of passing my test at the second attempt over sixty years ago when I still contend that I drove better on the first test.
The second test was conducted by the Chief Examiner in Leicester and he was so different to the first Examiner as he put me at ease straight away and all of his instructions were given in a very calm manner.
I am sure that during our lives there have been many occasions when we may have had similar kinds of situations to deal with, when a calm reassuring attitude would have been more beneficial to us.
In his earthly life Jesus Christ met many people who needed his calming attitude in their lives, and he came with such reassuring words and actions which put them at ease straight away.
No matter the situation we are facing today, be it good or not so good, we all need the reassurance that we can receive from the Bible as we read of the encounters which Jesus had with people like us.
