FOR A number of Lower League and Non-League Football Clubs last weekend was a very exciting time as they were playing against Premier and Championship teams in the FA Cup.
There were some amazing results and none more so than in the game between Tottenham Hotspur and Marine FC who are something like one hundred and sixty-five places below their famous opponents.
The Premiership side respectfully included many of their International stars which gave the ‘minnows’ the opportunity to play against a calibre of player that they could only dream of being on the same pitch with.
OK, Marine FC lost by five goals to nil but what an experience for them and to have a top-class Referee running the game as well.
There can be many times in our lives when our ‘minnow’ experience can be enlightened by meeting with or being with someone who is well known.
In the New Testament we read of so many seemingly insignificant people whose lives were changed and enlightened by meeting with Jesus Christ.
In our current situations with the Covid Pandemic we all need experiences to enlighten our lives in the ‘gloom’ which surrounds us.
So many times, the Bible reminds us that God wants to be our Heavenly Father and that He invites us to get to know Him by accepting His Son, Jesus, as our Saviour and Lord.
