ARE YOU sitting comfortably? Or ditch your sofa to save your life.
Health experts are saying we are sitting in our chairs for too long, some people are there between eight and ten hours a day.
My wife keeps pointing to my midriff and saying, “Where has your waist gone?”
I know she is right and I be should doing more exercise, especially when one reads of the problems that sitting around causes to the human body.
Of course it has been very difficult over the past months to be able to exercise as one would have liked, especially if we do not have a garden to walk around.
As I read the New Testament Gospels, I am always amazed at the miles that Jesus Christ and his disciples must have walked in the three years of his ministry.
Of course it wasn’t for the exercise alone that he travelled all those miles, but it was to tell the people of God’s great love for them and to also carry out the many miracles which he performed in their midst.
Because of the many restrictions which are still in place, it can be very difficult to get to a church to pray, but the great thing is that we can meet with Jesus and pray to God through him, even in our own homes.
We can sit on our sofas and use the exercise of prayer to meet with Christ the Saviour and God his Father.
