Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 19th Feb, 2017   0

LAST Saturday my wife came home to say that when she was driving, an unusual shaped light appeared on the dashboard of the car.

On checking in the vehicle manual it transpired that it was a warning light regarding “excessive emissions”, which immediately gave me visions of an expensive repair of a new catalytic converter.

On Monday I took the car to the garage where the mechanic ran it through a diagnostic machine that showed up three faults but in fact they did not really exist.

He asked me if the car had been ‘stalled’ recently as this could cause these so called problems to show and I had to admit that I had ‘stalled’ the engine last Friday.

Thankfully there were no problems with the car but it does show that modern technology can be confusing, not like years ago when repairing cars was much more simple.

In today’s world we can often make Christianity difficult and hard to understand so that people can be frightened away but that is not the way.

Jesus Christ came to give us a way to God that is easy to understand and to follow as we read in the four Gospels in the Bible.

As Jesus shared God’s love with the people he met, he always told them to, “Come and follow me.”

Let us take on board the simplicity of the Bible message and accept his command to follow him and experience God’s love for ourselves.
