“I WANT to teach my children the importance of respect, honesty and kindness”.
These are the words of the Duchess of Cambridge regarding Prince George and Princess Charlotte, saying these qualities are as important in life, just as much as academic or sporting success.
This week the children’s great grandmother celebrated 65 years as our Queen and she has certainly shown those three characteristics during her reign.
Sadly, each day, the media portrays so many prominent figures who certainly do not portray any of these attributes in their lives; rather it is very much the opposite.
Jesus Christ came into a world, which at the time was devoid of these qualities, to show people the love of God.
Living in today’s world it can be very difficult to have respect, honesty and kindness because of what is happening around us, but by knowing and experiencing God’s
Salvation and Love in our lives can make all the difference in our attitude to those we meet every day.
Think of the word JOY as being Jesus first, Others second and Yourselves last.
Let us endeavour to make a change for the better in the world around us this coming week.
