Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 13th Oct, 2019   0

SO NEAR and yet so far.

At the beginning of last week we took delivery of a new sofa, which has electric power for the reclining mechanisms. I was told there was a battery power pack in case of a power cut.

Last Thursday and Friday we were having great difficulty with the operations of both recliners, one being very slow and the other hardly operating at all.

I was about to use a ‘pen like’ instrument that I have which ‘bleeps’ continuously if there is power in the cable. But before I tried this, I decided to check if the plug was properly connected in the power socket and on just pushing it no more than the thickness of a sheet of paper the power was restored.

Amazing such a small distance like that could cause the recliners to malfunction, but now both are now working perfectly.

How sad it is so many of us lose touch with a relative or friend over something that can be very trivial.

How often is it we can lose contact with God because we fail to realise Jesus Christ came into this world in order to restore our connection to his Heavenly Father.

In his ministry on earth Jesus Christ made contact with great multitudes of people as well as with individuals and he wants to do the same for each of us now.

So let us get ‘plugged in’ and experience the love, joy and peace, which come from God through Jesus.
