WE LIVE in a world with so much diversity, disillusionment and disunity all around us.
No matter where we look it is in every aspect of life and now especially with VAR.
Those initials stand for Video Assistant Referee in football but with the amount of unhappiness about the outcomes I would prefer to call it Very Arguable Decisions.
If you, like me, watched the women’s game the other evening, you must have been appalled at the attitudes and reactions of the ladies from one of the teams at the VAR decisions.
This system is supposed to cut out the unfairness made by the referees so its only the right actions are taken, but by the time that it takes for a decision to be made, the spectators have either gone home or gone to sleep!
I am all for fairness but really!
When Jesus Christ was here on earth he made immediate important decisions because he could see right into every situation without the use of any electronic gadgets.
Jesus encourages us to pray (talk to) God his Father in his name.
Sometimes we can be a little fearful of the thought of praying, but really it is simply talking to God through Jesus just as if he were standing in front of us.
He sees and knows what we need but he longs to hear us speak to him in prayer and praise.
Forget VAR we have direct access to the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
