THE OTHER day I read the world’s motor manufacturers are working on a system which will enable all driverless cars to communicate with one another. Just imagine!
“Hello Bill how is your diagnostic problem today? Oh, and remember it is my right of way at the next junction.”
“Well Fred, I have to go in for warranty work tomorrow, so my family’s other car, Miranda, will be taking the children to school”.
Of course it will all be done electronically and noiselessly to the passengers.
In my lifetime I have seen so much technological advancement but has it all been to our benefit?
With so much texting and e-mailing are we gradually losing the ability to talk face to face?
There will always be one mode of communication which can never be done through text or e-mail and that of course is prayer to God through his Son Jesus Christ.
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us firstly to thank God for His blessings, then to pray for others and finally to bring our own requests to him.
During his ministry on earth, we read so often in the Gospels that Jesus Christ spent much time in prayer with his Heavenly Father and if Jesus felt the need, so must we.
Spend a few moments in quietness now and slowly say the Lord’s Prayer and feel the difference that it will make to your day
