ON MONDAY a BA flight from London City Airport bound for Dusseldorf in Germany somehow ended up landing in Edinburgh, Scotland.
When told that they had landed in Edinburgh, the passengers thought that the pilot was joking, but no, they really were in the wrong place.
BA blamed a paperwork error and apologised to the passengers who had been flown more than 500 miles out of their way.
The plane eventually arrived in Dusseldorf more than three hours late.
In a day of satnavs and phone direction apps it seems incredible that we so often find ourselves in the wrong place on our journey.
Even life itself can sometimes be like that, when suddenly we find that we have made a certain decision that causes us to end up in the wrong situation.
In the Bible we read of countless people who made the wrong decision and ended up completely lost and bewildered, but then God stepped in and met their need and guided them into the right place.
Do we feel lost at this time in our lives, not knowing which way to go or what decisions to make?
This is the time when we need to let God, through His Son Jesus Christ, into our lives, for these are the times when he wants to help us, more often than we realise or imagine.
