‘GOODBYE’ to 2016 and ‘Hello’ to 2017.
Nationally and internationally the past year has seen many striking and unexpected happenings that have left many of us bewildered.
On the political, sporting, business and personal fronts there have been so many unexpected happenings that have unfolded before our eyes.
Times of great happiness and also those moments of sadness and hurt, which have changed our lives forever.
So, what are we hoping for in this New Year of 2017, which is less than a week old?.
What resolutions have we made and possibly broken already?.
We can plan with the best will in the world but somehow at times it never goes quite to the plan that we want and hope for.
Perhaps we should begin to ‘Expect the unexpected’ in our lives and look forward with anticipation for what lies ahead.
As the old saying goes, “I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know who holds the future”.
My faith in a loving God assures me that whatever happens to me in 2017 I am still in His hands because He cares and loves me because of my commitment to His Son, Jesus Christ.
We can enjoy the future if we will allow the one who holds that future, into our lives to share it with us and gives us a purpose for life.
