Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 20th Jan, 2019   0

THERE are many times in our lives when we have to make a decision which can go wonderfully well or horribly wrong.

Last Saturday we were watching one of our grandsons play rugby for Harlequins under 18’s against Gloucester under 18’s

With 10 minutes left for play, ‘Quins were comfortably in the lead by 26 points to 6.

At this the ‘Quins coach decided to substitute six of his best forwards for six others who were not really warmed up and were certainly not ready to play.

Subsequently Gloucester ran in three tries and won the match by one point, giving them top spot in the league, proving to be a very disappointing end to the afternoon for our grandson and his teammates.

With the New Year stretching out before us there will be many times when we will have to make important decisions for our future.

Jesus Christ calls us all to make a decision to either follow him or reject the salvation that he brings from God his Father.

In the Bible we read so often of this call, which comes to us because of the wonderful love, joy and peace that God, wants all of us to experience and enjoy.

Let us stop and consider how, by making a decision to accept this wonderful opportunity; it could enhance and bless our lives and the lives of those around us.
