LAST week my wife and I spent an enjoyable five night river cruise on the waterways of Holland, which culminated in a visit to the Andre Rieu concert in Amsterdam on the Saturday evening.
In 1987 Andre created the Johann Strauss Orchestra to bring classical, waltz and easy listening music to crowds all over the world.
We had heard so much about him and had seen some of his concerts on the television but to be there along with some 17,000 other people was something absolutely amazing.
I am sure there are many times in our lives when we have heard about or seen films and articles about famous people but to actually see and hear them in person is certainly so different.
Today, we live in a world where so many people know little or nothing of God’s love that is brought to us by His Son, Jesus Christ.
Christmas has reminded us of the Saviours birth and as we move on into the New Year, let us stop and perhaps give some thought to the fact that God wants to be part of our lives.
Whilst we cannot physically see Jesus, we can experience his presence and love in our lives by taking a step of faith by welcoming him to share our daily life with him.
