LAST week three others and myself spent some considerable time cleaning the brass rails of the model railway in my garden.
This week I fitted a track-cleaning device to one of the carriages and ran it round the track and to my amazement the cleaning pads had picked up so much dirt, even after cleaning last week.
Of course the track is open to the elements throughout the year and it just goes to show what is in our atmosphere and what we are breathing in every day of our lives.
People now agree Prince Charles had been right all those years ago when he was so adamant about the way in which we humans were destroying our precious earth.
Climate change and the flood of plastic waste into our environment are causing untold damage to our beautiful world.
In all aspects of life there are things that we do which have an adverse effect on our daily living.
In the beginning of the Bible, in the book of Genesis, we read God created the world and at the completion of each part he said, ‘It is good’.
Sometimes we need to stop and take stock of what we are doing to our lives. Do we need to re-think our life style in order to better our lives and the environment?
Letting Jesus Christ into our lives, as Lord and Saviour, will help us to be able to appreciate our own lives and also the environment around us.
