CAN YOU go through the alphabet and come up with a musical starting with each letter?
Well that’s exactly what Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society (EODS) have done for its first show of 2022 on The Henrician stage.
The Musical Alphabet – Show Tunes You Love from A-Z will take to the stage at the Victoria Avenue venue May 19 to 21 from 7.30pm each evening.
The award-winning group have packed a staggering 26 musicals into one spectacular show which promises a non-stop live performance with song and dance from the musicals you love and some you may never have heard of.
As one of the oldest remaining societies in the country, EODS looks back into its 141-year past with old favourites from the likes of Gilbert and Sullivan and Rodgers and Hammerstein as well as the latest West End blockbusters.
The show will mark the first full-strength cast show post-Covid and performers are really looking forward to being back on stage.
A EODS spokesperson said: “We missed our 140th year anniversary because of Covid, so this show pulls on songs from our past but is very firmly looking to our future with some fab numbers from current hit shows to ensure we can connect with a new audience and survive into the future post-Covid.”
