Slimmers look good on the catwalk

KIND-hearted members of an Evesham weight loss group strutted down the catwalk in a popular town shop and raised £200 for charity.

The fashion show held last Friday (May 13) at Bonmarche saw women from Slimming World take part in the event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK.

Slimming World consultants Sarah Goodall and Kelly Gibbons organised the show along with the Manageress of Bonmarche, Angie Humpston, as they decided it would be a great opportunity for members to dress up in the High Street store’s clothes to show off how much weight they have lost to family and friends.

And between them the models who took to the catwalk have lost 28st and 5Ib.

Joint organiser, Sarah Goodhall, said: “The night was a great success with the models showing how much confidence losing weight has given them, with some of them modeling clothes they defiantly wouldn’t have picked had they not lost their weight.

“They were cheered on by an audience made up of Slimming World members and consultants, as well as family and friends.

“The Bonmarche staff worked very hard to make this happen and Kelly and myself would like to thank them and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
