ORGANISERS of the Great Comberton Show are already looking ahead to next year after the show made a successful return to the village.
The show pulled in visitors from all around the region who enjoyed themselves in Braille’s Orchard, sampled the Bredon Hill backdrop and the enjoyed the chimes of the village church which kicked off the festivities.
This year’s show had a circus theme and saw a host of people dress up to mark the occasion despite the sweltering temperatures.
A variety of activities were on offer for young and old alike while the dog show once again proved to be a highlight for many who attended.
Honours were handed out throughout the day for the best home grown produce, arts and crafts and even those in fancy dress were honoured.
Main organiser Suzanne Hamilton, said: “It’s such a unique show with the big tent full of exhibits that rival some of larger shows around us.
“We had a lot of fun with the novelty classes – best smelling rose, strangest shaped veg and veg animal.
“The cookery entries were the best but it was shame the decorated cake melted in the heat as it looked fabulous.
“Next year will be the 74th such show, an impressive record for this lovely village,” she added.
