BUSY festive shoppers in Evesham will be offered a free mince pie when out Christmas shopping, thanks to members of Churches Together in Evesham.
The popular giveaway will take place from 10.30am on Saturday, December 8 when church members once again spread a little cheer in the shops and streets.
Organisers estimate they handed out about 1,000 mince pies during last year’s event and hope shoppers will once again appreciate the festive offering.
A spokesperson for Churches Together in Evesham said: “This is a great and truly enjoyable opportunity to show the Church of Jesus Christ in Evesham coming out of our buildings and working together to offer seasonal gifts to those in our town.”
Members are busily stocking up on mince pies for the occasion.
As well as a tasty festive treat, shoppers can even enjoy some music and friendship at the stand outside the Sue Ryder Charity shop on the High Street with the first mince pie being handed out at 11am.
