SMALL Business Saturday saw a buzz of activity in the Evesham Riverside Centre as shoppers were encouraged to buy local.
The annual day of events on Saturday (December 6) saw members of the Best of Evesham promote the many local businesses on offer around the town.
The event was combined with the launch of the free Evesham app which can be downloaded to smart phones and tablets to keep up you to date with events and offers around the Evesham area. Simply search ‘thebestof’ at any app store.
Dozens of recommendations for local businesses came in meaning the Best of Evesham team have extended the chance for locals to win vouchers for Evesham Arts Centre, a voucher for Bouncy Castle Hire from BC Inflatables, £100 to spend with local businesses and the star prize of a weeks Hot Tub Hire from Complete Spas of Blackminster.

Evesham Mayor Coun Charlie Homer and Town Crier John Raphael also dropped in to show their support.
Alan Jones from Best of Evesham said: “All round it was a great day and it was nice to see a lovely atmosphere in the shopping centre and many people commented on what was going on and their respect for the local traders”.
