AN EVESHAM school has issued a ‘stranger danger’ warning after reports a man was seen acting suspiciously yesterday evening.

The email sent to parents today urges them to remind their children to be vigilant in the wake of the incident.

It follows a report that a man was seen acting suspiciously in Chapel Street, Evesham at about 4.20pm on Thursday.

The email sent to parents claims a young girl was walking past the man’s car towards her house when he stopped her and asked her what the time was.

He then tried to continue talking to the young girl including asking which school the girl attended.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “On 9 November at approximately 4:20pm West Mercia Police received a report of suspicious circumstances on Chapel Street, Evesham.

“Investigations are currently ongoing.”
