EVESHAM students with a love of sandwiches have been invited to create the next addition to the Subway menu.
Schools, colleges and six forms in the area are being encouraged to get their pupils to take part in the Design a Sub Challenge 2015.
The winning six inch sub will appear on menus in stores across the region from February 2016.
Whoever comes up with the tastiest design will also be given an Apple iPad Mini and a share of £1,000 in Apple vouchers. There is also £750 worth of Apple vouchers up for grabs for the top five runners up.
Last year’s winning entre was designed in honour of the Rugby World Cup and featured mouth-watering mix of chicken breast, bacon, tomato, onion, lettuce, jalapenos on Hearty Italian Bread.
It is hoped the drive will provide students with a real life opportunity to put their business skills to the test.
Anyone wanting to enter will need to create a marketing campaign and business plan based around their new Sub. All entries must be approved first by the school or college, before submission.
Successful campaigns will consider target market, nutrition, competitors, pricing and promotion.
Shortlisted entries will be given the chance to present their ideas in a Dragon’s Den style pitch to a panel of experts.

“Last year we were very impressed with the standard of entries to the challenge, and the number of schools and colleges who took part.
“Once again, we’re looking forward to seeing what the students from across the region can come up with this year.”
