Sanctuary handed £3,000 cash boost

A MIDDLE Littleton animal sanctuary is celebrating after being handed a £3,000 cash boost from Animal Friends Pet Insurance.

The Farm Animal Sanctuary was chosen by an AFI employee, Ben Hanson who won the company’s Employee of the Quarter Award and part of his prize was a £3,000 donation to an animal charity of his choice.

As a committed vegan, Ben loves the work that The Farm Animal Sanctuary does and AFI was delighted to give to such a worthy cause on his behalf. The money will be used to purchase a field shelter to house a number of rescued sheep during the winter months.

Ben visited the sanctuary and was given a guided tour by its founder, Jan Taylor.

“We were so surprised to be chosen to receive this wonderful donation from Animal Friends, buying another field shelter has been on our wish list for a long time, we’ve just not had the money to spare for a much needed item,” she said.
