TIME is running out for runners to get their online entries in for next week’s Evesham 10K.

Anyone wanting to take part only has until this Sunday to register online for the annual race which takes place on Sunday, July 9.

Late entries will still be accepted by visiting the Birdseye Sports Shop next Thursday between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. Runners will also be able to register on the day of the race between 8:00am and 9:30am.

Entry will cost £15 for non-club members and £13 for club runners before the event. On the day it will cost £18 for non-club runners and £16 for club runners.

This year is the 10th outing of the popular 10k which takes place on Crown Meadow at 10am.

The course will take in the historic town centre, through Evesham’s award-winning parks and alongside the River Avon.

After the main race there will be four children’s races starting at 11:30am and entries can be made on the day.

Race organisers, the Evesham Vale Running Club, have this year chosen Evesham and District Mental Health Support Services (EDMHSS) as the event’s chosen charity partner.

Organiser Kelly Anne Archer said: “We are looking forward to welcoming a large number of entries. Every child will get a special medal and a goody bag. It’s lots of fun so any child from tiny tots to 14 year olds can take part in the different races.”

Race Director, Leanne Dean, added: “It is great to see so many runners from far and wide coming to run our race.

“It is a beautiful course around our historic town and this year we are running for a brilliant charity, Evesham and District Mental Health Support Services. Every runner will get a bespoke medal and a ‘T’ shirt.”
