RUNNERS from across the Vale laced up their running shoes for the ninth annual Evesham Vale 10km race.
Sponsored by Run Stuff, the event was organised by Evesham Vale Running Club and again saw hundreds of runners young and old put their best foot forward.
The Run Stuff team made up of employees, customers, friends and members of the Evesham
Vale Running Club met at the event marquee to prepare for the race.
More than 380 runners tackled the course which wound around the town and along the River Avon.
Race winner David Bell finished the course in 33 minutes 42 seconds despite humid and windy conditions while first lady Shona Crombie-Hicks flew into the finish in 38 minutes 56 seconds.
David Bugg, from RunStuff said: “It’s been a great morning with our Run Stuff team of 20 runners
making the most of our massage and hospitality”.
The first Run Stuff team member across the line in tenth place overall was Shawn Townsend in 39 minutes 25 seconds.

Race director Karen Patrick said after the race: “I’m proud of all my team, marshals and the
supporters and helpers who rallied round.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and took part and did their bit to make this a brilliant morning,” she added.
