RSPCA appeal after film of ferret being beaten in Evesham

THE RSPCA want to track down the man pictured after footage online emerged which shows a ferret appearing to be harmed.

The animal welfare charity was handed the video which appears to show a ferret being repeatedly hit, bitten and harmed through rough handling.

Images of a man, who the RSPCA believe could help support their ongoing enquiries, have now been released by the animal welfare charity.

The charity said, whilst it was not sure where the video was taken, information so far suggested it may have been filmed in Evesham.

RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer Freya Lamb, who is investigating for the charity, said: “We’d like to speak to the man pictured as we believe he may hold vital information which would support our enquiries.

“We’re very keen to find out more about this incident and check on the welfare of the ferret involved.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RSPCA’s Inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
