THESE four youngsters will have the prestigious honour of leading the Pershore Carnival procession after winning a popular competition.

Six year old Corley Frost and eight-year-old Lucy Jones were chosen to be King and Queen for this year’s carnival which will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26.

And James Barnett and Amy Oakes will also play a huge part in the popular event after they were named carnival Prince and Princess.

The youngsters were chosen following a competition held at Pershore Town Football Club earlier this month by judges including town Mayor Coun Charles Tucker.

The winners will not only have the honour of being carnival royalty for the year but will be at the heart of the popular procession through the streets of Pershore .
