A FUN DAY being held by Evesham Rowing Club in aid of Comic Relief is inviting parents and children to have some fun while raising cash for the cause.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 7 and organisers are searching for volunteers to help organise the fun-day and raise funds for the popular UK charity.
Event Organiser, Tim Groves, said: “The day is a chance for families to come and take part together, whether it is to sell their homemade cakes and biscuits as volunteers on the day, or just as a guest to come and have some fun and try and win a prize, whilst taking part in the great cause of Red Nose Day.”
“We need to get prizes donated to us by local businesses and people which is something I am trying to get on with at the moment, but also we need to get lots of raffle prizes to help us sell tickets and draw in a good crowd.”
So far the event has confirmed it will host a teddy tombola, face painting, snail racing, raffle and a bouncy castle, with lots more games to be announced.
Children will be on hand to sell cakes for the charity with other nibbles available including catering from local restaurants.
The fun-day will take place on Saturday March 7 from 2pm to 5pm.
