CHARITIES and good causes were boosted by more than £15,000 raised by the Vale of Evesham Round Table’s annual Santa Sleigh event.
The cash collected is more than £1,000 above the 2018 sum and Round Table chiefs handed over the cash to a number of good causes during an event at Wallace House earlier this month.
This year’s event was made possible in part by the wonderful support given by Listers Volkswagen of Evesham, which provides a vehicle every year to help Santa on his way.
“We would like to pass on a special thank you to everyone who donated their spare time to assist Santa throughout December around the Vale of Evesham,” said chairman Adam Spiers.
“It is only made possible by the volunteers, who turned up to spread some Christmas cheer despite the cold and wet conditions each evening, to raise money for the local community.
