THE COUNTDOWN to Christmas has well and truly begun with the return of Pershore and District Round Table’s Santa Sleigh.
The big man himself will be doing his rounds in the town and surrounding villages to check that all the boys and girls of Pershore have been good this year and are ready for Christmas.
The sleigh has been visiting the streets of Pershore for many years, and Father Christmas is ably assisted by a team of volunteer elves from local groups, clubs and charities co-ordinated by Pershore and District Round Table.
“We are once again proud to help Santa bring joy to the people of Pershore. With the contributions from members of the comunity we have been able to support many worthwhile causes that have had a hugely positive impact on the local community,” said a Round Table spokesman.
Father Christmas and his elves aim to visit as many families as possible around the town with his ‘sleigh ride’ starting at 6pm on weeknights and 4pm at weekends.
After starting his journey around Eckington and Defford on Saturday (December 3). Father Christmas and his elves will wind their way around the town before finishing with a visit to Station Road and the new estates on December 18.
This year’s ‘sleigh ride’ will be in aid of the Pershore and District Round Table and local good causes.
