Residents urged to help Vale pre-school's cash bid

A RALLYING call has been issued for Vale residents to help a Pinvin pre-school scoop funding for a new outdoor area.

Pinvin at the Heart of Health and Wellbeing Across the Years (Pathhway) have registered with the Aviva Community Fund in the hope of developing their community project.

With an already established and active forest school, the staff and supporters of Pinvin Community Preschool and Pathhway are planning to further develop the outdoor learning environment.

They need funding to develop a two-acre site which will include an outdoor classroom, vegetable beds, animal pens, bare foot walk, poly-tunnel, seating areas and a pond.

Staff at Pathhway are now asking as many Vale residents as possible to vote for their project to win funding from the Aviva Community Fund.

Hannah Malins, chairman of the preschool committee, said: “Forest school has already given our local children confidence to explore and learn through play in the outside environment.

“This project seeks to provide safe place for generations to come together, working toward a common cause – better mental and physical health and a sense of belonging in the community.”

Visit www.community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting to vote. Voting closes on Tuesday, November 21.
