Repair Cafe opens its doors once again

Rob George 2nd Apr, 2019   0

A RALLYING call has gone out to all those in Evesham in need of appliance assistance from volunteers at the town’s Repair Cafe.

Ahead of the next event on Saturday, April 13 at Evesham Methodist Church, Vale residents have been reminded the service can repair most appliances.

Should the merry band of volunteers be unable to repair the item, many are knowledgable enough about providing advice and support to guide shoppers in the right direction.

A team of electricians, seamstresses and other specialists are on hand to fix items such as toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys, crockery and much more.

The scheme, which originally started in Amsterdam in 2010, is run by volunteers at the same venue each month and has been going strong since 2014.

Any repairs will be carried out for free with organisers requesting just a donation to cover the costs of the volunteers.

The event will run from 10am to 2pm.

Call Tony Piper on 01386 300478 for more information.
