Remus gets big break with forever home

Rob George 20th Apr, 2018   0

AN ELEVEN stone dog who was handed into Dogs Trust Evesham for growing too big for the garden has found a new home with big hearted owners with an equally large garden.

Staff launched an appeal to rehome three-year-old Crossbreed, Remus and appealed to dog lovers to come forward to offer the gentle giant a new home.

He has now landed on his paws with Mandy and Tom Stuart and their son Matt from Tewkesbury who are lucky enough to have a large, secure garden for Remus to play in, as well as being surrounded by large fields to explore in.

“We’re so excited to welcome Remus into our home and he’s definitely found his forever home with us. He is a lovely boy who has a large personality and heart to match his size. He has already made himself comfortable and has made friends with our horses. We can’t wait to give him a really happy life,” Mandy said.

Tracey Spiers, rehoming centre assistant manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “All of the staff at the centre are delighted Remus has found the perfect owners. He is a big boy who needs lots of space to be able to exercise in so it’s great to see Remus is going to live with a new family who can give him what he needs. We’re sure he’ll be really happy there.”

• The Evesham base has partially re-opened after being closed this week due to a suspected infectious disease in one of the dogs.
