MEMBERS of the Pershore and District Branch of the Royal British Legion have thanked generous residents who helped the legion raise £36,445.07.
For the third year in a row the appeal has broken the previous year’s record with the staggering sum up by more than £9,000 on last year’s record total.
A branch spokesman said: “We would like to thank all the collectors who gave their time, the shops and premises who had collection boxes and most importantly the public who gave so generously for this most worthy of causes.”
