A POPULAR Worcestershire men’s barbershop chorus Vale Harmony is teaming up with the ten times UK champions Great Western Chorus to sing in Pershore Abbey for a third time

Both groups will be taking to the stage at the historic Pershore venue for a charity concert to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

This year’s concert is called the Spring Sing and will see the 45 strong Great Western Chorus from Bristol give its first public performance of the songs which it hopes will bring them an 11th gold medal at the UK national convention of the British Association of Barbershop Singers in Harrogate in May.

Pershore-based Vale Harmony rehearse on Wednesday nights at the St Andrew’s Centre and chairman John Franks said the group were delighted to team up again, after previous concerts in 2016 and 2017.

“They are a big, brilliantly choreographed chorus and Vale Harmony is a small but beautifully sweet group of male voices,” he said

“Together we’ll be providing an entertaining bonanza of barbershop singing as well as singing some popular general songs. We’re delighted to be supporting Prostate Cancer UK.”

Tickets will be on sale in March from the BLUE shop in Pershore and online at www.vale.harmonysite.com
